I've been thinking about drilling a hole through the mount for the roof rack and then through the roof below it. That way if you ever decided to seal it, it wouldn't take much to make it blend in on the rack instead of the roof itself.
WHAT THE HELL?!?! i started my post before 1:00! i guess my long winded explanations (for Curtis' sake) are starting to be my down fall.

gotta figure out how to freeze time while i'm writing my posts.

It is better on the truck. I think Foxxie said it best: 'built for a purpose' I dunno what the purpose is yet... but when i find it, this thing is ready for it. I was looking back through the shots this morning and realized that i forgot to pull my TC plate and BL it! I threw away the last 1/2 quart or so since there was nothing left to line (i did my jack stands, bug guard, roof rack fin, a set of boots, a mug, in addition to the skid plate.) The one other thing i intended to do, i missed. It's the curse of the tow hooks American style!

Pst! Foxxie! C'mere. Listen you know that grinder you had that helped you through your welding gig? Does he know any thing that can help with this plate?
He probably could of helped at the start but I hear you met his mate first [sledge] LOL.
The bug guard looks cool! I might look into that. What colour you going to do it?

Drew! Chris! thats straight genius! :icon_idea2:

As for the lights I was going to go with just simple rectangular drive lights like these (i have 4 on hand) BAH! cant find a link, Platinum burners rectangualr drive lights ($20 for a pair at walmart. motorcycles use the hell out of them) small and bright, all i need for trail reverse, and trail 11 o'clock and 1o'clock lighting (directions people)

My forward lights are 6" caged lights. they will live happilty on the brush guard and I doubt i will need 4 plats AND 2 6"ers for anything other than looking like a tool. Plus the only time i will need that much light is a power outage in the mall parking lot

Foxxie? Color? What you see is what you get baby! i didn't have any colored bed liner so black it is! I don't know how that stuff handles paint, but i don't think i will need to color it. You never know though... when i paint my car 'international orange' it may end up looking like tony the tiger...

it took me a month to heat and beat a glorified soda can into a mass that could be mistaken for a skid plate by and off road noob. EVEN IF i wanted to do this, it would be much like my new driver's side door. bondo'd and primed, sitting on a saw horse in my dad's shop...... for 3 months..... keeping the new door pins/bushings company
