try aving that problem with family! sometimes it's a RPITA being the family mechanic.
while i've never had any trans newer than a '93 apart (yet), i'm gonna guess dropping the pan is gonna be the most obvous part. also, i think the plug is different between the two as well (not 100% on that one though).
what year is the truck again?
Doesnt really matter. 700r4 and 4l60 is the same trans. size size and case. The np208 is basically the same size as the transfercase thats in there. I put it on the back of my 4l60 and used the factory rear driveshaft. Only issue as ive stated before if you have the 4l60 the VSS is in the tailshaft of the transfercase. So id you swap cases you lose the ability for the trans to shift
i am able to manually shift. start in first and pop the shifter up. but as for the correct way. no idea. ive heard talk that you can put in a 241 out of like a 91 k5/suburban and its supposed to have the vss hook up. also that they sell a adapter you can put in the np208 but really didnt look into it or care all i use is first gear.
anybody know about this 208 vss adapter ?
