PROJECT solid axle swap/lift
yeah it needs a cage or something fabbed up.. rocks im not worried about, here in nj its clay. maybe just a bottom skid plate thing, i dunno.
for 80 bucks its worth a try in my opinion.

I might have meantioned this before too but you're gonna have to mod your crossmember or get another one with the 208. The front output shaft goes right into it. Perfect time to make one that will hold a skid plate
oh yeah, i can just see that happening!
and clay wouldn't be an issue? getting all clogged up in the ring, between the sensor & ring, etc.
you can send me the 80 bucks if you wanna toss it away.

well, you know how you can put your auto trans in "D" and just go, a manual valve body is just that-you have to manually shift the trans between the gears.
think of it as an early paddle shifting trans.

Does this thing have a place for a cable speedo?
Like said already , a manual valve body wont shift on its own , you have to do it. Its like having a stick shift with out the clutch. And as stated , they are made to be shifted in that fashion.
Edit- The NP208 should have a cable provision. Just get a VSS from Jags that run for a cable operated Xfer and be done with it. They screw on where you would normally put the cable , then plug your VSS harness into it. Done. I think they are about 60-80 bones
