Nope. The whole carrier would have to be swapped. Im not really sure if they are interchangable or not. 8.5 stuff should be the same but not sure. Are the ratios the same? Just swap axles if so

It wouldnt be the spider gears , it would be the side gears. Anyway , like I said , your just gonna have to tear into it to find out. Not a whole lot of people even mess with 10 bolts, myself included, enough to even care to know if the axles will swap. If you were closer to AL I would give you 4 of them to get them out of my way. Junk imo cause they wont hold up to a 35" tire unless you baby it all the time

i meant side gears, my bad. so the spline on my 5 lug is actually larger than the six lug? doesnt make sense but it is what it is.. have side gears laying around in the parts rear, but will i be able to use the posi carrier with them or do i need to swap in the open one? ordered tires too, 16.5x8.25 pro comp rock crawlers, special order 4 weeks, enough time to finish her off hopefully.

I know little about swapping carriers. I run 10 bolts. I just buy a new axle if i break something

just solved all my problems. bought some adapters that go form 5 lug to 6 lug (ezaccessory.com), came out to 140 shipped. well worth the headache in my opinion. i can keep my posi rear now working on drag link tomorrow as well as filling up my rears and changing fenders. if theres time ill run fonr brake extensions but i doubt myself getting that motivated

theres a few places that make drag links. you just have to give them the measurements and what tie rods your using. also if you wanna make your own they sell the threaded ends for the tie rods y ou just have to weld them onto some dom tubing
