Default project thumping tahoe

Well this is the place I am reserving for my swap/ build. I was cruising the local craigslist and happened upon a 4.8 motor and trans and all the wiring for $950 so I sent him email to get more info. I included my phone # and he called me the next day and we chatted for a while and I was able to talk him down to 750 for the setup and he would include the fbody manis and ls1 intake and swap mounts for the 750. I then told him I would get it later this week when I have the v6 back together but then he offered to deliver it for the same price. I took him up on his offer and I will have it sitting in the garage on wed so I will post pics then but for now I will give u all the down and dirty of what will find it's way on or in.

While the motor and trans r out the steering shaft mod will be done to tighten up the steering.

The blazer tahoe that is in the junk yard will be disassembled and the harness for the new motor will be fabbed up from that so that it will be plug and play when it is time to drop the drivetrain in.

The stock cam will be removed in favor for a ls2 grind cam that I am picking up cheap

I will put 105 springs springs in to prevent valve float and refresh the drivetrain.

The pcm is tuneable with hptuners which I already have so it is more flexible then the untuneable 93 brain in it now.

The only thing I will have to adress is the fact that the trans is a 2 wd trans but it is a 4wd truck so I am hoping I can bolt up the transfercase to the trans and go from there for getting it to have 4x4.

The other thing will be the 2 in lift shackles and t bar crank and maybe find a g80 rear end and front diff so I have lsd.

The brakes I am looking to upgrade to a dual piston setup off a newer blazer

The only thing I haven't figured out is what shocks to use since it will be going higher and where to get a high lift jack.
