S10 Blazer '88 in Belgium
make sure to use a good quality motor oil and change regularly
if you are running on just propane the oil doesn't turn black however they tend to run hotter so you still burn up the oil
Antifreeze level and strength is also important

They do have salt overhere in winter ... a lot. Thankfully the truck doesn't have many miles and it wasn't used for off-roading and I see no welding to be done. I do have to take the front fenders off at some point because there is some rust starting where they meet the inner fenders ( or how do you call these ? ) .
I did do some polishing on a small part of the body because the paint is badly oxidized, but it seems I can get that shiny blue metallic paint back.
About the maintenance, I plan to use 5W40 synthetic motor oil, TOTAL QUARTZ 9000. It's suited for gasoline engines and especially for ones that run on propane.
Furthermore if someone can get me the glove box owners manual for this car ( 1988 ) I would be very happy, it's an impossible find overhere and I can't seem to find one on Ebay. Not from '88 that is.

About power and propane conversions .. if you have a mixer somewhere in the inlet before your throttle body or carb. it tends to be less powerful. If you have a fuel injected engine with a propane injection kit you can barely feel a difference between both fuels when driving on it.
So, my blazer is in the workshop for the propane conversion. It`s going to be a US made kit from IMPCO Technologies - Dedicated to a better world through cleaner air . Will post pictures in a few days.
