I, personally, saw absolutely no gain at all, except for the fact that it took less pedal to get up to speed, which is because the opening is obviously alot larger than it was. No extra power, no better fuel economy. Just the illusion of extra power because you're not use to the truck reacting like that at that certain amount of throttle.

Now please remember that I engineered GM transmissions for a living.....

I firmly believe now that the purpose of the throttle restrictor is to limit low end torque under part throttle conditions to reduce clutch band wear in stop and go city driving conditions while maintaining a nice comfortable smooth and slow shift for the old folks. lol

To that end increased wheel mass from 33" mudders only makes things worse so I will be installing a new servo in the tranny as soon as the weather permits. Swapping in a stock corvette servo is cheap (about $20 and and hour in the laneway) solution and will shorten up those mushy Blazer shifts that wear clutch bands prematurely. ( I like fast shifts and I cannot lie....)

Alright you doubters - fire away
How would the deflector limit low speed torque? If you wanted more torque, wouldn't you just push more on the accelerator?

Nothing wrong with firming up those shifts. I have the 'vette servo along with a bunch of other parts sitting in a box waiting for some other things to show up before I tear the valve body off of my Tahoe.

i know you had said before about using those tires year round, was just wondering how well they've handled our Ontario weather so far this Winter?
