Great work DonL. But why you switch front end body from GMC to Chevy It's because you couldn't find GMC one or the look is better ?

Sooooo... gave up when I went to grease everything up.... you'll see why I gotta take the shaft off again tomorrow... last pic...

Factory ujoint

A little worn....

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Pressed in, short on cash. Minimal maintenance purchases allowed... thats the last factory one left, and its still good lol...

Can anyone tell what this is? I do🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Got everything buttoned up and together. Vibrations are basicly non existing. Would have to do the last factory ujoint on read driveshaft, and the single on the front portion.

Also got the front bumper installed! For an aftermarket bumper that came in straight without the curve of the bumper, turned out satisfyingly good.

Thanks! It's slow moving, work is killing any after work motivation lol...

Got some mosomeone on the truck. Got a bunch more to do. Thinking of getting looking preaty then selling it. Wife wants a 4x4, or something newer lol.

Fenders on to cover some rust lol

The box part of the side skirt is on, the one under the door is mocked into place. Going to have to weld on new metal before that gets mounted.

Thanks! Slow and steady, but coming along!

Planning on dropping the blazer off soon so it can get the zr2 axles in. Was hoping to paint before going on, but doesn't look like I'll be able to

Another crappy update lol...

Lost power steering a bit ago... so it will be parked for a little... just got approved for a house rental, so money will be getting tighter lol...

I did pick up a CRAP load of parts that need to go on too... so might just park it on jacks in my new garage!!!!

Sooo......

The truck got impounded 2 weeks ago, daughter drove with a suspended liscense...

When I finally got it back last Tuesday, it died 2 blocks from the impound, battery didn't have enough juice. So got it pushed to a parking lot and boosted the battery, got it running.

Well let's go to last Friday now....

Taking a left turn, I had 2 clamps that held the back cab on the box, break, and had the cap fly off the box onto the road. Broke the back window off the cap, but the cap is fine. Got it back on at the end of the work day with 4 new c clamps. On my way home I had an oil line blow and lost all my oil....

Yay for bad luck day!

Now that the weekend is over, I got the truck to the mechanics to fix. Now I get to work extra hours to pay for it! Lol
