Though I'm not a big fan of the huge suspension lift on these model Blazers, I do find myself very interested in the coil over conversion in the front. How much did it cost to do that conversion and about how many hours? Thanks, looking forward to seeing the expedition gear installations as well!

I bought everything new. Figured since it was all apart no sense in putting old stuff back. Napa lifetime axles were only $77.00 can't go wrong with that.

I didn't really keep track of the time. If I had to guess I'd say about 15 to 20 hours of fab work. The frame had to be modified, making the shock hoops.
The coilovers are right around $600. then around $150 for materials for the frame and hoops.
I've been looking at expedition trailers for awhile now. Then the other night I was looking at equipment to build one then figured since the Blazer is not my daily I'd convert it. Should be a fun project once I get everything else done.

Made some more progress today. Installed new seals in the front diff. What a pain that is to do. Even with a slide hammer the old ones didn't want to come out.
It's all going back together for the last time. This is where I'm at today.

I have a feeling this is going to be awesome!
Also I would love coils or even coilovers on my truck. But its got leafs all around which will work for now. cant wait to see the finished project.

Had some time today to work on the Blazer. I got the front shocks on. But like I thought I'm going to need longer springs. These shocks are rated for a 14" spring. The tech at QA1 said I could use 12" springs because they don't sell 14" springs in a 600 pound spring. The problem is there's not enough threads left to tighten them up. So I'm going to order some new 14" ones tonight. Eibach sells them in 14"

Other then that heres a couple of pics. The pics with the tire on is right about ride height. After I took the pic I played around with the alingment to make sure I had enough to straighten out the tire which I did. Once I get the other side together with the new springs and set to ride height I can measure for the tierod ends. Going to make them myself with hemis misalignment spacers and 1" tube.

Where did you find the Rugged Trails 4" lift tubular control arms? And do those work as if you're just replacing the stock arms? Amazing build by the way, I am quite jealous lol!
