ZR2 4 Door Blazer

ZR2 4 Door Blazer
Yes it is a ZR2 suspension in a 4 door. Everyone said it cannot be done. It can be done I have pictures to prove. It is not that difficult if you know how to weld. I bought a complete 2 door zr2 blazer for $750 with a bad motor but a year old transmission. Truck had over 200k and I knew I was cutting it up. I also installed the zr2 front fenders and flares on the truck. Still need to paint 1 to match the truck for now.
Life started as a 2 door Blazer ZR2 and a 4 door blazer. I cut the front frame off and also cut the front off of my 4 door S10 blazer at the factory splice. I also fixed the zr2 common cracked frame before I welded frame back together. I installed all new bushings and ball joints in the front end when it was apart. Also painted frame after cleaning.
I always wanted a ZR2 but it was to small of a truck for me. So I took a 2000 s10 blazer off the frame and started cutting. I also had the 4 door rear spring main leaf re arched to match the zr2 rear springs. I could not use the zr2 main leaf because it hit the frame when the truck was down. Since I have the wider front I also added the zr2 8.5 rear end in the truck. I still need to finish working on the rear flares so they will fit the truck. I also installed a V8 L31 in the truck while it was apart. I am nearing completion. I have not started the truck but should be within the next few weeks. The motor is a 2002 express van 5.7 vortec 4 bolt main that I had rebuilt with a stock LT4 camshaft with 1.5 rockers. I just wanted a little more power not a lot. I am also going to have dual cats and a single 3” rear exhaust with a dynomax Vt muffler. I also added 1” body lift blocks. I did not want 2”.
I am still deciding what color to repaint in the spring. I cannot decide between a nice blue or Bermuda Blue Metallic (blue green) . I will be painting the flares either charcoal grey or black. I also have not decided if I will paint the bumpers truck color or flare color.
