I agree with you but when it comes down to it I just think they are really pretty and worth photographing anyway.

Well I finally got around to adding my entry. As usual, I was torn on what flower, er, a, photo to enter.
Someone mentioned the phenomenon of "macro setting = flowers", well, there is a little flower icon on my macro setting!
Anyways, I too shoot many flowers. Long ago I made a cheesy web site with a bunch of shots like that. You can find the link at the bottom of this post. Also, I no longer have either of the cameras used on these. I currently shoot with a Sony DSC-H50.

Here is my entry

Camera: Casio EX-Z50
Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture: f/4.3

ooooo...pretty. lol.
I love that last one Brent. The stone (is that slate?) looks awesome.

I'm leaving the entries open until tonight again. I'll do the voting thread once I get home tonight.

that's because i haven't thrown my hat in this race

i tried a couple experiment shots and decided that it's better to know your own weakness than to let others point it out to you

@ Sisk.... I had an idea you would like that one. And yes, it is slate in a place called Zoar Valley. It is an area that is a beautiful, but dangerous place... one of the few remaining "old growth" forest in the United States. It has numerous small waterfalls, and towering cliffs that rise up some 400 feet above the canyon floor. A very cool place to hike and swim.

/show/

PS - I did not take the first two pics in the slide show.

PS - if you have asked me in a thread for a full size photo I have posted on the forum, please pm me with your request. I thought Sisk had asked me for one of the sunset pics I posted.
