I think it was intended to be a forum sticker, not a representation of a vehicle. That was why Ugly_Monkey's design got bumped. Color specific...

Realistically we ... ack... we couldn't hope to make everyone happy with a sticker, unless it was a simple text block that was predetermined to be the forum decal.

Voting on 9 designs will ultimately narrow down maybe 4 that the voting public splits on. You can't please 'em all.

Also for those of you counting registered members/voters well not everyone is down with a decal in the first place, but more importantly, some cant be bothered to vote in the first place, even if they don't really care. Look at the American Popular VOte...

...wow have a bit of a color spasm there?

But still, I don't want a sticker of a newer Blazer on my bad *** Full Size Blazer. It'll just look out of place. It's like putting a picture of a dirtbike on a 'Busa.

But I think the bracket voting idea is an excellent... idea...? Anyway... Umm... rawr?

When we have a winner, do we have a plan in place to get the bids? i know "A member will take the design to a print shop" thing, but do we have volunteers yet? I would like to take a stab at the bid process. I have 2 print shops working with me on my Recruiting vehicle fleet and Hummer assets. Either one of them might be more willing to cut a deal on something as simple as a decal due to the fact that they are robbing the government blind on vehicle wraps. Just a though...

Can't hurt to have 2 or 5 or even 12 people get a bid on the print job. Even if only 20 people want a decal, and 30% of them voted for the winning design, more people are likey to get one of these things if they are like $5 + $1 s&h (or whatever) vs. $15 each or some crap. Any one have any holes to poke in that theory? Seriously, beat that idea up, because the better this thing is planned out, the smoother it runs. The smoother it runs, the more people get on board. The more we have on board, the more Blazer owners find their way here.
Pretty soon we own the world and every car on the road has a broken fuel guage, no ones push-button 4WD works, everyone gets <16 MPG, and every puddle has a truck stuck in it! JOIN ME IN MY VISION OF THE FUTURE!!11

sorry

hahahaha thanks for the laugh ABN

...and I like that idea...lets see who is interested in getting them and who could get the best deal. I think something like .net's decals ($6 for 1...$1 for any after that...shipped) was a crazy deal..it would be nice to keep it below $10..

HOW AM I WINNING!?

FYI: The member that made the decals for gmtruckforum.net is also a member here. I haven't talked to him lately and I'm not sure if he's been in contact with any of you guys...

I have already been talking to "Unlimitedsp" who did them for gmtruckforum.net and will get a quote or idea what the cots will be and how the shipping and sending them out will work but need to have it down which decal we will go with. If the current winning decal stays as number one, will add one more decal as not all members have the same style of truck.

We can do this if members want to look around. I'm going to deal with "Unlimitedsp" as he did the logo/decals for gmtruckforum.net but if someone else wants to look around and take care of it all then once the decals that are to be done up are chosen you can get an idea how much you can get them done up for.
