Headlight Restoration Kits
Has anyone on here used these on their headlight lenses and had good luck getting them to clear up and allow more light through?
I tried a kit earlier that had sand paper that you had to work by hand and I honestly think you need a drill setup kit so you can really hit the lense hard and remove some material.
I think 3M has the only kit that mounts the pads on the drill.
If you have had experience and don't mind sharing please let me know how it worked out.
Thanks

My son just bought a 97 K2500 and the head lights were really pitted/dull. He bought the 3M kit from Auto Zone and used it and the difference was night and day. Its hard to believe how bright the head lights are now.
I'm going to buy the same kit and use it on my 81 Z28 tail lights.

I used a headlight restoration kit on the clear cluster bezel in my '74 K5. Worked great at removing the yellow oxidized layer on the outside of the bezel. Now it is too mirror like though and makes it difficult to see the gauges in the day time. Smoothed it out too well!
