Default 4.3L TBI Custom Camshaft ideas

Just bought my 1990 s15 Jimmy, 5 speed, 4x4. Id like to get a cam that thumps hard at idle and I'm having trouble finding info on whats out there. Its my understanding that all available cams have mild idle because they are set up for touque. So maybe a custom grind. any one out there have any experience with this sort of thing?

Thanks for your time
Brandon

You gotta wait a little more than a few hours for a reply. Especially considering your asking a really technical question. It may take a few days for a response. But believe me the guys here will have some info.

Take'r easy!

I'va actually looked into getting a cam for my blazer. The only cams i found that are actually for the 262 and i have seen videos of, are the LUNATI VOODOO cams. go look them up. But also, if you go with a cam that has to much of a lift, you can bend your valves and such.

Thx Matt92, it seems that Lunati's 262/276 may be my best bet. Due to the price ($138) I can get valve sprigs for security as well. Do you think that will suffice?

the lunati cams are not hydraulic rollers though, they are hydraulic flat tappet cams, keep that in mind, the comp cams 270hr is what people always recommend to me, so look into that, you can also have them custom grind a cam for you.
