engine swap
Bought a 1988 blazer 2.8 two door 2 wheel drive for my grandson. We would like to drop in a 350, would anyone have some suggestions on the best way of doing this. What to use a 4 speed trans for this set up. I know there are some kits for doing this but what would be the better one?
thanks for any help

RE: engine swap
if you have the new summit Advance Adapters are on page 364. they make the motor mounts, headers, and oil pans made for s10's.
the motor mounts work in conjunction with the stock 2.8 motor mounts and are only $100 for your 88 2wd.

RE: engine swap
I have the book by JTR. Great book, well worth the money. As far as I can tell, it covers al apsects of the swap. I don't know how accurate the info is yet, haven't tried it myself yet. Although, they are on like the 14th edition of the book.
I also just bought Advanced Adapters S10 conversion book for $10. It has bsically the same info, just not as detailed as the JTR. Get the JTR book and get the free catalog from Advanced Adaters. Or buy from the palces JTR recommends.
I tend to do as much research as I can before I commite to a project like this, so far everything says this is pretty much a easy swap. I installed a body lift so I don't have to deal with clearance issues. Plus it make getting to parts easier, especially on the tranny.
