Default Hard shifting??

Have just recently noticed that the transmission shifts a little harder than usual. all gears work. Transmission fluid is full. Hasen't been changed since ive had it though. How often should tranny fluid be changed? If it isnt the fluid, what could it be? Timing? It seems like it is in first gear a long time before it pops into second. Any ideas?

Trany should be done avg.

Filter 2 yrs or 50k miles
full flush 5 yrs.

I have followed this pattern and have yet had a trany puke on me due to fluid failure. I have a 350 turbo that has 300k miles on it and yet has had to have anything outside of this done at all. The harder you are on a trany the more service it will need. My off road truck (sold it already). That thing was like a yearly checkup, but I was really hard on that.
