Check to see if it is shutting off when you turn off your truck. I have heard of the relay sticking intermittently.

nop, it turns off. I think I'm just going to put an external pump on it. When I came back from vacation the pump was not working again. This one only had 20 miles on it!!

Mine is on its 3rd since I've owned it. 3 weeks after I bought it, it went out. Replaced it, and a week later it went out when I was 1000 miles from my house(went to AL from IL) but luckly the pump was under worranty.

Do you run your blazer low on gas a lot?? The gas that flows through the fuel pump is actually used to cool it down also. Sometimes if you run them on low fuel a lot they will burn up more quickly. Not sure if that is the problem but just an idea.

I just noticed you said your last fuel pump lasted 20 miles so obviously its not cause your running it low on gas. I would double check your ground. I dont know what to say other than that.

i filled up every 200 miles going down there. so it still had plenty of gas.

Well I finally got it replaced another time and this one lasted about 100 miles! I had a fuel pressure gauge in my dash to see if pressure ever went up or down, and I also had voltmeter on the wire from the pump and until the pump went it was always at 12.5 volts. At this point ac/delco does not want to replace the pump anymore so I have to buy another one. The ground has also been redone. At this point I'm running out of ideas!
