when i was working alot more and able to fill the tank regularly i was able to put 250 miles on about 14 gallons easy. that was all city driving and driving it quite hard at times.

I measured the last two tanks on a '97 i recently bought and have been getting 19mpg highway and about 16mpg city

I can typically go 150 miles and have the gas needle at half tank

Keep in mind that these gas gauges are not known for being accurate... on mine when it hits E, I still have 4 gallons of gas left. then the gauge keeps going beyond that.

with the parts I replaced and new AC Delco rapidfire spark plugs I installed I get about 325 per tankful combination City/highway.

That's with the AC on 1/2 the time.

well, i'm not sure what's going on with my "98 lately, but my mileage has been steadily increasing. not that i'm complaining though!

on the last 2 tanks, i averaged 20 1/4 mpg, with a pretty good size load in & on it!

an all time best.

i guess i can safely say i'm getting about 18mpg average over the Summer. never thought it was possible to get half decent mileage in these 2nd gens.

great! i just jinxed myself, did't i?

Mine always does better in the warmer months. It drops 2-4 miles to the gallon when it's below freezing.
