i was waitiing for someone to say that old skool. not even my crappy 3.4L alero got that. i got 20 with that. and like i said above with probably $500 worth of maintence and upgrades. i was getting 19 with next to nothing for weight in the back. so 25+ is next to impossible unless you are pulled

Hey I never said that was proven. Just saying I remember someone saying that. And pretty much everyone had your reaction to it. I'm looking for the thread, when I find it I'll post up.

Here ya go:

i remember that too. i have floundered from 13ish up to 14.5-15 ish and then sunk to like 8 for a while. now im floting in the 13-14 range. it's hit or miss because my truck sucks as staying road worthy, but i too have noticed a lot of variation.

it also has a lot to do with accurate MPG calculating i would imagine. if i fill up and drive across say, nebraska, i bet i get better milage, than if i tool around mt. hood

You never completely empty a tank by 'running it down to nothing'. There is still fuel below the level that the pump can pick up. I have said it over and over, but for those who still doubt, here is the page from the owner's manual:

Just Got 14.7 MPG a few days ago. I just re-calibrated my Speedometer today so I should see an increase in MPG, it may be slight but it should be there. My speedo was slow (when it said 40 i was going 43) so since that is fixed, my miles should go up
