Knock
I have a 1993 S-10 blazer its got the 4.3 vortech and its got a knock. Well my cousin said it sounded like a wrist pin knock to him. What would be the best way to fix this? I have been told i would be much cheaper to find a used motor and swap in is that true. Thanks for all your help

RE: Knock
if it is in fact a wrist pin then there is no easy fix other than to disassemble the engine.
a knocking engine could run for another 10 years the way it is, or it could die tomorrow. theres no telling. just hav eto keep an ear to it and see if it is getting worse.
the best you can do is put in some heavier weight oil and start hunting around for a decent used engine.
