I had one. I removed it and put the factory air plenum, and paper filter back in. I couldn't notice any difference in MPG or performance. The K&N and MAF sensor didn't get along either.

Which would look better 30s with 2 inch suspension or 31s 2 inch suspension/body? Im thinking about just 30s 2 inch suspension with cragar rims and a pcm tune?

why are you still looking into this when you said you "think" you have top end engine problems? Money needs to get the vehicle into running order before worrying about tires.

I'm not sure what the offset is on the wheels you are thinking of, but you probably won't fit even 30" tires in the wheel well with them. Depends on the offset though.

It'll be really tight. Might need to massage the front wheel wells a little so the tires will turn(steering).

Chris hit the issue squarey. Youthful enthusiasm would place fashion over form and form over function. To 16, put the stock tires back on, fix whats wrong with the truck, then fix whats going to go wrong with your truck, then, if you the need to reengineer the vehicle paint the grill the color of your choice. Enroll into a junior College and take courses dealing with kenematics. Then return to this thread
