cold air intake is said to help mpg it helps my 4.3 get about 18-20 mpg highway. I installed an airraid cai. plus it helps make your engine sound a little beefier

The tires that came standard on Blazers were 'car' tires, P-metric radials. 'Truck' tires would be LT radials. They have a higher load limit rating.

I am the original owner of my S15 Jimmy and it came with General Auto tires. K&N Air is a high flow air filter. Another inexpensive item is a fuel injector spacer. (Not A TBI Spacer). It alows for sllightly more airflow into the TBI. I average about 21 MPG. I have a stock exhaust, K&N Air Filter, Michelin X-Radial Tires, and Fuel Injector Spacer. Plus for highway driving I use cruise control as much as possible and try and avoid jack rabbit starts and stops.
