Need V8 input

Need V8 input
I have a 96 2 door 4x4 blazer that is going to need a new motor soon. I've searched and found out that the swap is possible and was needing to know if my V6 harness and such will connect with a V8. If so, which V8 should I be looking for to do the swap with as much ease as possible?

RE: Need V8 input
If you have the 4.3L SCFI motor (tb pointing up), then the 5.7L Vortec v8 with SCFI is the engine that would work best and retain the fuel injection system. I did quite a bit of research on this and found that our PCMs are the same as those used in the fullsize pickup trucks. So reprogramming the PCM, adding the wires for the two additional injectors and possibly lengthening some sections of the wiring harness to match. I was basically going to pull the engine bay harness along with the engine from the donor truck and make a conglomeration of the two for use in my Bravada.
You will then need a modified oil pan, headers, electric fans (possibly pusher), and the associated exhaust work to get it all plumbed together. All of your accessories should bolt up.
Check out JagsThatRun.com. They quite literally wrote the book on S-series v8 swaps, although they don't have a lot of information for the 2nd gen vehicles.

Find a 427 from the new Z06... There's gotta be one or two in the JYby now... A car like that, has had to hit at least ONE pole... lol
Most likely a crap load of work, though
