STROKER V6
my 97 4.3 motor has had a good life..now, need an upgrade..
i found a stroker kit for my 4.3 will take it out to 272.
looks like the crank is an offset ground 4.3 crank (new stroke is 3.55)
anybody used a stroker kit in their 4.3?
how does it run?
oh, if your going to say "just use a 350" o.k, where do i get a kit to "bolt" it in using the factory fi set up?

To put in a 350 check out Jags That Run, they have a complete manual for around $20+ if you're interested...
I would not put a "stroker" kit in a 4.3 because the crank is not strong enough as an "even fire" design. As I have seen some research on the subject and Hot Rod magazine did an engine build up on a 4.3 the crank is the weakest point in doing a "stroker" 4.3 since the rod journals are offset to deal with the 90* axis of the cylinder banks...to do a V-6 "stroker" you need a 60* version 2.8, 3.1 or 3.4 these cranks have solid rod journals for their cylinder layout...
