I have the 1994 blazer 4.3L vortec. in order for me to adjust my timing or to check it, I need to unplig a wire to set it in bypass mode. a tan wire with a black lead. I still cannot find it. any help would be apperciated.

RE: timing bypass
It depends on where your computer is. If the PCM is in the passenger compartment, then it should be under the passenger side carpet all by itself. It should be near the transmission tunnel. I have seen some references that put it on the drivers side of the trans tunnel, but that was with a rubber flooring not carpet. If your PCM is under the hood, then you'll have to dig for it in the main wiring harness near the blower motor.
