trans temp gauge

Default trans temp gauge

in a few weeks in goina be adding a trans cooler and i was thinking about addin a temperature gauge. how and were do i put it?

Most are put in the transmission pan. The best place would be to put it right before the aux cooler (or rad cooler if you are keeping it). You'll want the aux cooler to go between the radiator cooler and the return to the transmission. I think that by putting the temp probe in the line before any cooling (rad or aux) takes place, you can better monitor the stress on the transmission.

I think the best place in the tranny pan, thats the only place your actually reading the tranny temp. If you put it after your cooler, your reading the temp after its been cooled.
