Tune up suggestions?

OK well outside the exhaust, the tune up will be relatively easy and inexpensive. one of my best buds gets parts at cost at Auto Value so that helps a ton. I'm most concerned with the CAI, plugs, Wires and dist cap/rotor. I'll take ur suggestion on what plugs to get. Definately will do the EGR gasket (dead simple to do. I learned a lot when we replaced the lower intake gasket in the summer last year.)
I'm lookin at a Delta 50 series flowmaster actually. a 40 and 44 delta are too loud for me. my buddy (who gets the discount parts) has a '96 jimmy, same engine, just different intake setup, and has a delta 44 on it with a Hi-flo cat and its WAY too loud for my tastes.
Quick question tho.. I'm noticing that the rear drivers side brake caliper is sticking... the damn thing isn't even 8 months old. It was replaced when i first bought the truck by the guy i bought it from (friend of family.) what would be causing that?

If a caliper is sticking (won't release promptly or drags after braking) it could be caused by your brake hose collaping inside. Both of my front ones were collapsed at the mounting bracket. You couldn't blow through them with 120 psi of air. There's enough hydraulic pressure to get the fluid to the caliper during braking but then the hose closes up and some of that pressure is still in there. This is what it sounds like to me. You might check it out but on the rear brake there is only one hose in the center. I would expose the brake where I could see it (wheel off) and have someone step on the pedal very lightly so you don't have fluid all over the place. Then see if the brake totally releases when they take the pressure off. If this is the problem, the right side should be messing up too.

I just reread your post. I was thinking you had drums in back. If you have discs, then you probably have a line to each. If you find one not releasing you can bet the other(s) is/are not far behind. I had a bet with my buddy on this one on my truck and when I pulled the hoses I cut the ends off and ran a coat hanger down them. Right at the crimped mount was where it collapsed. There was no getting it throigh. I've seen this before and it wasn't a shocker. I think when they crimp the mount on the hose it must weaken it by setting up a stress point.
