Not sure how carfax can help identify the carb used on a motor swap, but...
If it is the stock 2.8L carb, then it should be the 2SE although if the truck were to come from California, it could be the E2SE carb having electronic controls on it. I would bet that it is the 2SE. I was able to find a few good references to the Rochester 2SE carburetor using a quick google search. For some reason I could not post the links into this thread, but have a go at doing the search yourself and you should find them.

Sweet thanks for the info! I'll check for the model number on the carb when I get home. I am in cali, so it might have the electronic controls one. I'll see what I can find on it! Now I just need to find a vin or model for the engine itself, so I can google that info....

Look for a flat tab on the head up front, passeners side.

Perhaps something (sensor) on the engine is reading wrong, thinks the engine is running lean, and is flooding the engine? I had problems with mine starting up for a while, but honestly after I put the HHO generator in my truck, it starts a lot easier

What is this HHO generator your talking about, just a fuel injection swap? I got her started up after a little work. It was just a stuck chock plate on the carb, just fiddled with it and cleaned her up and she runs like a champ now. The rear plate on the stock 2BBL carb is the choke plate right? That's the one that I had to mess with.
Thanks for the help all, now I just need to find vin and model numbers for future reference, just in case!
