did it start back up after? when you say you, "turned the key and nothing happened", do you mean that absolutely nothing lit up? like no dash lights (warning lights)?

if that's the case, it sounds like you have some serious fault in your main power feed.

question, where is the ECM on your truck?

Check your connections @ the battery and alternator and make sure no wires or srews came loose!

^^^Check the connections like said above.

Have you replaced any thing lately??? Battery, Alternator, Starter???

You could check to make sure you have power at the bus bar on the drivers side fender, by the vacuum pod (looks like a round ball) it is covered with a plastic cover that is held in place with a plastic nut. Remove this cover and check voltage should be hot all the time (battery voltage).

Check the pink wires.

If no voltage....look on the back of the alternator. There is a wire (pink) that supplies voltage to this bus bar you should also have voltage there, if not then you probably have a blown in-line fuse coming off the battery.

If you have voltage at the bus bar aka "distribution bar" then it could be a faulty ignition switch.
