The mechanic is talking about if he cant figure it out he may jsut want to replace the motor any suggestions would be a great help. It also has a strong gas smell from under the hood when you crank it as well as had smell of gas in the oil as well. please help asap It also bogs down when trying to start please any suggestion woudl be great before i go replacing the motor

https://blazerforum.com/forum/tech-a...agnosis-23038/ MY GOD! If you are not a wrencher you need a new mechanic better get one fast. Do not let that person any place close to your truck! Sounds absoluty like a fuel problem might be as simple as the shrader valve on the fuel line test port. I can almost promise you a new motor is not what you need, it's a new mechanic. ASAP OK. Lots of gas in engine compartment ain't safe. Even if it's like a Pep-Boys.

Equally common: Fuel pressure regulator leaks. Tho my guess IS the 'nut-kit' as well.
What I'd like to know is what cars DOES your mechanic normally work on?
I suspect he isnt as stupid as he seems from what you say, he's worse - taking advantage of you.
