1996 Chevy blazer 4.3 auto ,won't start.
I have a 96 4.3 blazer ,had been sitting for awhile when I bought it. Wouldn't start so put a new distributor cap an button on it,new plugs,. Got it started but soon began running really rich and qit,now it won't start back, won't even hit on starting fluid, changed plugs again, getting spark, fuel, but still no start! Wth???
only has pressure the first few seconds the key is on. I van turn key on an press fuel valve and sprays gas pretty hard until fuel pump shuts off.

Start with an actual fuel pressure test, and go from there. The thread in that link details it very well.

Installed a new ignition coil this morning, fired right up! It is running rich though, it has a lope in it at low idle but smooth with acceleration. Catalyst converter?? 226,000 miles.
