Default 1997 blazer 5pd engine pull

ok my problem is i cant get the engine out i cant get it pass the input shaft on the tranny its a 5 speed manual

i cant get the engine foward more to clear the input shaft its hitting the front diff ive tryied moving the tranny back more but i am not really able to as i am working in my drive way and lack the right tools

ive heard of dropping the front diff which is only like 4 bolts or something but dont you still have to disconnect the cv shafts and extendizing collar to drop it or is it easier than that am looking for the easiest way to get this done and which will also make it easy for install of new engine

I'm not sure about the specifics of pulling the engine with a 5 speed but ,you could make more room for yourself by pulling the center link and tie rods as one unit , to save yourself an alignment, ( mark it so you know which side is which ) And then just unbolt the front axle and move it forward ,without pulling the cv axles . As long as the front driveshaft was unbolted .
I just did this to be able to pull the oil pan out of "99" with an automatic . Its not the easiest thing to do , but the axle will move forward quite a bit .
