Default 1997 Blazer Cylinder 2 Miss

While finding and diagnosing a p0507 idle code, my truck began giving me a cylinder 2 miss code. New plugs, wires, and good distributer. For a while now, my truck has been having trouble taking off from complete stops (sometimes). Most recent work has been replacing the 4x4 vacuum actuator, line, and related vacuum line. The idle code has not reared its head since then, but I still get an intermittent code for the miss. It will come and go, but it is always C2. Suggestions? Similar experiences?

Default Update

UPDATE: Code just came back again, but this time I feel like the idle is a little rougher. While I'm not experienced in feeling what a miss is like, I would guess that's what is going on. I might just be paranoid and it hasn't actually gotten worse, but you can tell the idle is not normal. Cold start it runs at just over 1000 rpm then drops to around 600 rpm after warming up. A little shaky. Has not died on me since the issue, but sometimes comes close when taking off from a stop. Still haven't seen a return of the p0507 idle code since replacing vacuum actuator and vacuum line.

Have you re-verified that the spark plug and spark plug wire to c2 is in good shape?
If you have and it check out just fine I would recommend a cylinder leak down test to test the valve seat. Also inspect the poppet valve for cylinder 2 in the spider vane injection. I hope that helps.

I will verify the plug and plug wire are good one more time, then I'll see if I can find a leak down gauge somewhere and I'll get back to you. Thanks for the reply.

no problem and you can try misting the ignition coil and spark plug wires with a very fine mist of water if it runs worse that means that the coil or wire is directing electricity elsewhere. ensure the spark plug wires are routed properly as well.

Run the fuel pressure/leakdown test as explained in Captain Hook's link below my signature.
