Default 1997 Blazer dies, maybe overheat?

My 1997 Chevy Blazer 4wd 4dr was overheating and leaking coolant. I took it into the shop and they told me it was my intake manifold gasket leaking. Which makes sense according to my research. I replaced the gasket and had some issues getting started afterward. It ended up being a broken wire I had snapped in the process. It started right up, but it didn't seem to fix the problem. Its not leaking coolant anymore. The temp doesn't get up that high before my car dies and I have to push it to the side of the road. After it sits for about an hour it starts up fine and will run for another 15 minutes or so. Does not happen if its cold outside which is one reason I believe it is a overheating problem. Any suggestions? Thermostat? Water pump? I'm at the end of my rope and pocketbook so I can't handle another repair that doesn't fix the problem for good. It is my only form of transportation so I could use all the help i can get.

Maybe a stuck idle air control valve. Could also be the coil. If the coil has a fault it may only fail when it heats up and expands. The next time it dies check and see if your getting a spark.

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I'm on a tight budget and can't afford to be replacing things that don't yet need to be. So diagnosing the issue is the best thing i can do, I just don't have a ton of experience to pull from when figuring out problems. I appreciate the help.
