Default 1998 4.3 to 1995 w 4.3

I have a 1995 s-10 blazer and have a motor out of a 1998 blazer. Will this 1998 motor work in the 1995 if i swap the intake and the heads. Are there any other parts that need to be swapped re: Oil pan sensors ect...

Thank you in advance for any input as my truck has been sitting with the blown motor for 4 years now.

Steve

You will have to use the pan from the 95 and I am not sure if you would be able to use the front cover from the 95 or even if it is necessary... I do think that it is due to differences in the mounting and configuration of the CKP sensor for the 98... Other than that, there should be other small differences between the blocks that probably will not impact the swap much.
