I drive a 1998 4x4 chevy blazer (4.3). it has 160k I've put 60 thousand miles on it since i've owned it. at about 30k miles in i replaced the clutch without changing the slave cylinder. about 15k miles later my truck has a problem shifting into second hear. it is the only gear i have a problem with. it grinds a little bit when i'm shifting up but if im down shifting i might as well put it in first because of how long it will grind before going in. if i'm at a stand still it has no problem flowing through the gears. also when my foot is not on the clutch it will let me pull the shifter half way into the 2nd gear and then grind. i just want to hear your guys' opinion on it.

Bad synchronizer. USUALLY caused by too many powershifts or missed shifts into second.
Find an old timer and have him show you how to double-clutch. The idea is you shift to neutral, rev engine to approx the rpm it will be at once in second, let out clutch to get input shaft and cluster up to speed, push clutch in, then shift.
Or get it rebuilt.
