Default 1998 Blazer running rough

I have a 98 Blazer, 2wd. Last week it started running rough the service engine soon light came on which had a code for the egr. I unplugged the egr and it started to run better. So I thought it was the egr which I replaced. Whenever the new one is plugged it still runs rough. Little bit more detail it almost does not want to accelerate correctly whenever it is plugged. If anyone knows where to look next that would be helpful. Thanks

Have you checked for any vacuum leaks?
