1999 blazer s10 4.3l 2wd oil pump

1999 blazer s10 4.3l 2wd oil pump
Can someone please help with the removal of my oil pan on 1999 blazer 2wd 4.3l, pan won't come loose. It appears I have all of the bolts out, need to replace oil pump. Also am I wasting my time because I have heard the motor needs to be yanked for this?
