Default 2.8 oil leak

ok i have a 84 s10 blazer 4x4 it has a rebulit 2.9 hot rod in it. it came out of a camaro idk what year but its carburated well i was out playing in the woods and it was doin fine until i got stuck but it started over heating i popped the hood found a busted hose and finshed getting unstuck with it off and winched on well fixed the hose filled the radiator back up thanks to the jerry can and it ran fine got it to a friends house around the corner and cleaned the engine compartment out went to go home and was on the interstate and i saaw the rpms drop so i pulled over to check it out and saw oil all over the place it wasn't coming out the side and i have no knocks got inder and its coming out the trans cover vent hole. was wondering what it would be and if its my rear main would it be easier to pull it or do it in the truck my hanyes and clicntons book says it can be done in the trruck but idk

ps the motor was rebulit only about 30000 miles ago
