Hi all new here need your help, here is my delema, I am working on a 2000 blazer 4x4 with the 3 button shift for the 4x4 system. The truck had a missfire coad, t/shoot that to a bad fuel injector spider. Replaced it, truck is running great. However after having all that appart and back together. Now the truck wont go in gear ????. Enging revs in all gears salected but nothing is happing??? Did disconect the PMC plug's and reconnected them, had to tug on the wire harness going to the trans area to in stall incorrect brackets. Some of the vacume line where replaced as they where rotted. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Update for got to include this engine ia a v6

Welcome to the forum,
Does the blazer hold in park so it won’t roll away? The next thing that needs checked is to check fluid level without engine running, should be up above full mark 1/2-3/4 inch. Then start and check again and see if the level dropped. If it did the transmission would seem to be pumping fluid. At that point you should have reverse as it is a hydraulic controlled circuit. No electric required to obtain reverse. If still no move it’s more than likely a internal problem with converter or broken part in transmission.
Good luck
Brad

Thanks Brad for that info will check it out today and update

Checked the trans fluid not running was 1 1/2 in above cold full line

started the truck had it in park no change

Put it in drive no change.

truck will not move in reverse or any gear

Going to disconect trans line at radiator and see if I get fluid movement under pressure.

Al's hooked up my OBD II scaner, no codes but did see PTO disc in the monitoring mode

If the fluid level did not drop the pump has failed. Very common on this model transmission.

Thanks so much for the help. Is there anything else I can check before take the transmission out of the vehicle to make positive that it's the pump that's bad. That's so crazy I drove the vehicle to where I was we working on the engine. It sat for a few weeks. Then when I tryed to move it. I'd jurked in drive and then went back but only with hi RPM'S then drove it around the block but again supre hi RPM'S as it warmed up got worse as far as movement.

The transmission will need to come out and be repaired or replaced. This failure happens with no warning, no noise. I describe it as the way a lightbulb burns out.
Good luck,
Brad
