Usually the fuel will wash areas clean where the leak is.
As you prob know but I'll say it anyways do NOT replace parts and pressure up the system if the line is still kinked as you would ruin the new parts as well.

Take a look at the Delphi fuel pump. Many have said it is the same quality as the old AC Delco Made in America fuel pumps and may be a little cheaper.in price. I hope it is still made in USA !
