Fuel pump RIP?

Fuel pump RIP?
Hey gang,
Driving at highway speeds yesterday and my 96 S10 Blazer 4dr just died. All dash lights come on for start attempt, can hear glovebox relay cycling and noise from fuel tank at same time. Towed it home, let it sit, tried today - same. Tried starting fluid in intaked, cranked, caught, died after 10 secs. 118K miles.
Anyone have opinions? Oil pressure was 55lbs or so just before it quit. Anyone know the Delco number for this truck? I assume its the all-in-one pump-filter-sender.
TIA
Mike

if you dont hear the pump try banging on the fuel tank while someone is cranking the engine. Use a rubber hammer or a piece of wood. If it's a tired fuel pump, often this will be enough to start the pump. If it does start...replace the fuel pump.
Of course I'm assuming that you dont hane a fuel pressure tester.
Hope this helps.
