Default 2001 Blazer Doesn't Start, Clicks

My 2001 Blazer has been running fine, but this morning it would not start. When I try, I hear a clicking noise. The dash lights up with two messages: service engine soon and the picture of the battery in red. I don't think it is the battery because the interior lights come on when I open the door, and I can play the radio. Do you think it might be the starter? If so, does anyone have an idea what one might cost, labor and parts? I'm not handy enough to do it myself. Thanks.
