2001 BLAZER in limp mode. Replaced both shift solenoids still doing the same thing

The wire was down to the transmission on the left side of the engine....I wish I remembered more about the fix but it was a few years ago...A great guy on this site with the screen name Captain Hook help guide me to where it was broken

Left side as in driver side?
Regarding the swap from the junkyard... I don't own a shop, I don't I have a car lift, I don't have the tools and I would have to do it in the street.

I didn't read all responses. But the 4L60E had a valve body recall years ago for this problem. My 97 Blazer had a similar issue years ago. Took it to Ramco Trans in Yuma AZ. I was told about the recall, but said they could do the mod to fix it and did, cost $150. Never had another issue with OD or anything else.

Thank you for your response. That would have been helpful a couple years ago. Just bought a 2021 RAV4 and donated the Blazer. Wanted to keep the blazer because everything else was in great condition.
