Default 2002 engine into '96.

My Blazer has been sitting for a while since I just don't have time to work on it. Too many irons in the fire. A friends daughter plowed her 2002 Blazer into a pole and totalled it. My '96 is making a noise that may be a loose or bent rod from before I fixed the hydrolocking. Will the engine from the 2002 fit into the '96. Both are cmplete trucks so all the brackets, manifolds and such are there. Except for what she bent hitting the pole.

I'm tired of looking at it and gave him a screaming good price on it.

Well intake are different, but can be swapped out from your old motor....& the knock sensor is a single wire on the 96, so u need to drill and tap the block to accept a 1/4 npt pipe thread ...other than that I think that's it
