Good day all ,
ive got a 2003 blazer 4x4 that’s suddenly having a hard time starting . Once it does start it sputters badly , nearly dies when I shift gears , idles rough . Once it’s warm it seems ok until breaking and then it sputters .

I just change the oil , spark plugs and topped off trans fluid .

any ideas ? Need this vehicle to last me another year until I can upgrade? Symptoms seem to match a fuel filter/pump issue but I’m at my wits end .

 

If you don't want to throw parts at it, I would do a pressure test.

Was this happening before the oil change?

 

yes , sporadically though!

 

If you haven't done the fuel filter, I would start with that... its easier then the pump, and sometimes gets clogged, causing the pump to work harder and fail sooner.

But the fuel pressure test will tell you for sure if you even need to do that lol...
