I have a 2005 Blazer with an automatic transmission, Is there a way to run it without the ECM?
I am also looking for information on the tranny I have now... stock 2005 Automatic.
Does anyone have a model number that I can start looking for information on?
I found the for following on a white sticker - 5TAD but can not find anything on that.
I have been looking at doing a swap with a TH350 and an older 350 engine but am wondering if I can get away with using the existing transmission with a few mods or ?
Thanks!

If you install a manual valve body in the tranny, the computer won't be it's (or your) friend anymore. I suppose you could swap the computer for one that's programmed for a manual transmission... if you could get that to work then you could run any non computer controlled tranny you wanted.
Nice SFA swap by the way.
