218k miles on original 4.3 Engine - Anybody have more?

Very impressive everyone......it sounds like Mr. VLS has the record with 320,000 miles on the original engine and 400,000 miles on the body. Hopefully mine will make it that far.
Oil changes every 3,000 miles and other scheduled maintenance has kept mine alive for 218,000 miles. I've never had the engine opened for anything...original head gasket, intake, everything is original and running strong.
"Like a Rock"......was no joke

Guys, have faith in these motors... The GM pushrods (aside from ridiculous intake manifold gasket problems due to poor gasket material) are virtually bullet proof! I have my 93 z24 3.1V6 (60* V6) with 334000 KMS with no major repairs (water pump, valve cover gaskets, small things). My pops has a 95 Astro 4.3 V6 with.... wait for it.... 685 000KMS!!!!! All he has changed is his waterpump, timing chain for preventative maintenance, and regular maitenance!!!
Take care of these motors, and they won't let you down!

I've got 218,000 miles on the 96 Chevy Blazer I bought new in 1995. It's never had a major problem and the engine has never been rebuilt. It runs great and I just installed my second set of new oil cooler lines as preventive measure.
Any guess as to how much longer this engine will go with proper maintenance....What's the record?

I have a 93 WT with a 4.3 in it and it has 222K miles on the clock. I just had to replace the Intake Manifold Gasket about 5 k ago but other than that no engine work. This truck was a work truck for 45k miles of its life In PA and i have no idea how it was cared for. Then by dad bought it and ran it up to 96k miles. He takes pretty good care of his stuff. He changed the tranny fluid and diff fluid when he bought it. He always ran rotella 15w40 in it. I bought it and it now has 222k miles on it. I take very good care of my stuff. I change the oil every 4 to 5 k and it usually gets rotella or a name brand 5w30. When my dad had it he used it to pull cars around and bring coal to the house. So the first half of its life has been pretty rough. Since i have had it i mainly used it for driving to collage and stuff which was about 20 miles one way of straight interstate and some l ocasionally pull my atvs ect but not very often. Im starting to get a little lower engine knocking upon startup but goes away after warm. Im hoping to get at least 250k out of it. Really i dont know if the body will hold up that long. it is starting to get a lot of surface rust on the fenderwells and stuff. Anyway i love these engines.
