Default 4.3 tbi-4.3cpi

Hey!
I'm new here but I have a few questions for you...
I have a 94' blazer 4x4. It has the vortec vin W in it now, but the bottom end let loose on it. I also have a full size chevy 2X4 with a tbi 4.3 in it.
My question is can I take the tbi and put my vortec heads and intake on it?
What do I need to do to make this work?
If all else fails I can get all the parts off the truck to make the whole tbi engine work...but if I can i'd like to just swap some engine parts and slap it in.

Thanks ahead for any and all help,CHRIS

The biggest thing you have to make sure of is that the bolts that hold the intake on are oriented properly. Early vortec heads had a perpendicular to sealing surface bolt orientation while later had a vertical orientation.

Aside from that basic note, a little more information on the donor truck would be nice.

I'm not sure of the year...It's an early 90's Chevy full-size work truck. Like I said it's got the 4.3 tbi in it. So I'm going to have problems with the intake bolts then? Is there any way around this?THANKS

You shouldn't have any troubles as long as both engines are prior to '96. It may be as simple as swapping sensors. You'll know if the intake will swap by looking at the bolts. I swapped a '93 CPI from a 4x4 Blazer onto a '85 4.3L from a fullsize truck without too much trouble.
