4.3L engine for $60...????? Yes or no??
I have an 85 s10 blazer it's a 2.8 6cyl in it with ALOT of miles on it (like 287,531 but who's counting). Every day I put another 50-70miles on it, and it definitely has it's many issues but I still love it. Well yesterday I was offered a 4.3L engine from a 2001 blazer for $60, Has 150,000 miles on it. That $60 covers the complete engine and anything else under the hood that I would need. The people that have it wanted to scrap it because the tranny went out, but there are title issues so they're parting it out and I get to go first. Now the question is will it fit in my 85? If so, is it worth doing it?

Your 2.8L is a 60 degree v6 and the 4.3L is a 90 degree v6. The transmission would need to be changed for one with the proper bell housing on it.
After that, finding a carb intake for the newer engine might be difficult (I have never checked).

Thank you!
So your saying I should continue trying to convince my father that my little blazer deserves his C6 LS3 motor more than his boat? Lol ... but seriously I've been trying since we picked it up. Thanks for the help!!

Willing to ship
From what I was told, the tranny is out. But I'm willing to ship any parts if your interested. I have the means to store it, so that's no problem. Where are you located?
